There are not a lot of shows out there like Mr Robot that take the time to give a more realistic view how computers work. Most show glam it up by mashing up tech words together into meaningless gibberish and give you weird 3d animations to represent a computer interface.
Mr Robot does none of that, in fact, the actors in many cases are actually running the tools and you are seeing the actual outputs. This also means when they show a phone number or an IP address on the screen, it’s often something you can use to discover offsite content for the show.
In this episode we take a look at the Linux & Hacking tools used in the show and some of the intellectual puzzles that the show presents us with.
