Going by my experience and confusion with Ubuntu 16.04 and Mint 18, you need to apt install libqt5libqgtk2 for KDE/Qt5 applications like Dolphin or Kate to properly adopt your Gtk theme — that’s how to get them to have icons. I don’t know why this isn’t installed by default… looks like an oversight!

Just finished listening to your latest Fresh Looks episode. I found it concise, but not dry in content, with a nice seasoning of humour. I have been a Mint user since Unity reared it’s ugly head and a Mate fan since it appeared. I use my computer for communications, weather ops (was 37 years a met tech and can’t break the habit 😉 ) and for keeping up on current events. At 69 years, simple beats flashy hand down.

Keep up the good work. You are becoming my favourite podcast…after mintCast that is LOL.

    Hi,

Just want to mention, the link for the .ogg file of episode 201 does not work.

    The link ends withe SMLR-E210.ogg
    it should end like SMLR-E201.ogg

A slip of the finger I guess..

Love the show, keep it up!!!
