Hi, I’m the ISO builder of BL Hydrogen RC1. Thank you for your thorough review! A couple of points…

Jens is one of several team members made up of former CrunchBang forum moderators and members. We’re trying to ride the fine line of listening to the BL community on how we should continue development and then making a decision and saying “this”.

Thanks for “getting” us, in that we’re based on Debian stable but use Openbox window manager and some accessories instead of one of the major desktops (GNOME, KDE, MATE, etc…) and that we try to offer multiple configuration options. You can shorten our name to just BL. 😉

BunsenLabs actually is a play on Dr. Bunsen that pays homage to CrunchBang, the last 2 #! releases were named Statler and then Waldorf. 😀 Sesame Street has served you well, sir!

The OpenBox right-click menu is not a dynamic menu so applications (other than the ones that have “install” menu options) don’t automatically get added, you didn’t miss anything. There are dynamic menu options available and discussion on these continues on our forum.

Again, thanks for the fair and thorough review, cheers!
